Disconnect a device
Connections between Vekta and your devices are authorised on the provider's side, which means you disconnect them there too. This article explains how that works, what happens to your data, and how to switch to a different account.
1. How Disconnecting Works
Every device connection is an authorisation you grant from the provider (Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift and the rest).
Disconnect from the provider, not from Vekta The Vekta app lets you connect a data source, but not remove one. To disconnect, open the provider's own app or website and revoke Vekta's access there.
Vekta updates automatically Once you revoke access at the provider, the connection clears on Vekta's side automatically. You don't need to do anything else in the app.
One account per provider You can only have one account connected per provider at a time. If you connected the wrong account, revoke the old one first, the slot won't free up until you do.
2. Disconnect by Provider
Steps differ by brand. Follow the guide for yours:
Garmin Connect: Garmin Connect → More → Settings → Connected Apps → Vekta → Disconnect. Full steps here.
Wahoo: Wahoo → Profile → Permissions → Vekta → Revoke Access. Full steps here.
WHOOP: WHOOP app → More → App Settings → Integrations → Vekta → Disconnect. Full steps here.
Oura: Oura app → Settings → App Integrations → Vekta → Revoke Access. Full steps here.
Zwift: Zwift Companion → More → Connections, or zwift.com → Profile → Connections. Full steps here.
Coros: Coros doesn't offer a way to revoke access yourself. Contact us and we'll disconnect it for you.
Hammerhead: Hammerhead doesn't offer a way to revoke access yourself. Contact us and we'll disconnect it for you.
3. What Happens to Your Data
Disconnecting stops the flow of new data. It doesn't erase what you've already built up.
Sessions already imported: These stay in your Calendar, along with all analysis, comments and metrics attached to them.
New sessions: No longer sync. Anything you record after disconnecting won't appear in Vekta.
Health and recovery data: Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and weight stop updating from that provider.
Planned sessions: Vekta stops pushing structured workouts to that device or platform.
Your Athlete Profile: Critical Power, zones and other markers stay as they are, but stop updating without new sessions to learn from.
If you want imported sessions removed as well as the connection, contact us, that's a separate request.
4. Connect a Different Account
Switching accounts is a disconnect followed by a fresh connection.
Revoke the old account Follow the steps for your provider in section 2. Make sure you're signed in to the account currently linked to Vekta, not the one you want to connect.
Connect the new account In the Vekta app, open Settings → Data Sources and connect the provider again, signing in with the account you want. Learn more about syncing a device with Vekta.
Let the history import Historical data imports again from the new account, within that provider's limits. Learn more about what each provider supports in its own article.
Still Stuck?
If you've revoked access at the provider and Vekta still shows the connection, or a new account won't link, contact us with the provider name and the email on your Vekta account.
