Interval Characteristics

Edited

For each of the interval intensities Vekta detects, additional characteristics can be applied to describe the nature of the effort more precisely:

  • Maximum [Max]: The interval is performed at or near the athlete’s maximum power output, relative to their expected time to exhaustion or prior best efforts.

  • High Torque [Trq]: These intervals feature low cadence (rpm) and higher resistance, focusing on force production.

  • High Cadence [Cad]: High cadence intervals focusing on faster pedaling speeds (rpm) typically with lower resistance.

  • Progressive [Prg]: These intervals increase in intensity (power, torque, or cadence) over time, gradually ramping up effort.

  • Dynamic [Dyn]: Dynamic intervals are marked by high variability in power, cadence, and torque, challenging the athlete’s ability to handle fluctuating efforts.
