Understand Workspaces

Edited

In Vekta, workspaces are the foundation of how we organize coaching relationships, data, and communication. Whether you’re a coach managing multiple teams or an athlete working with different coaches, workspaces are designed to make collaboration seamless and flexible.

Let’s break it down step by step.

What is a Workspace?

A workspace in Vekta acts as a dedicated environment where coaches and athletes interact. Each workspace is typically associated with a coaching business or a specific team.

  • For Coaches: You can belong to multiple workspaces, representing different coaching businesses or groups you’re part of.

  • For Athletes: You can be part of different workspaces, allowing you to train with multiple coaches or teams.

How Does It Work?

Separate Memberships

Your membership in one workspace doesn’t affect your membership in another.

Protected Elements

Training plans and sessions are shared across workspaces, so athletes' information is accessible to their coaches in different workspaces. However, coaches in one workspace cannot edit data created by another coach, ensuring boundaries are respected.

Switching Between Workspaces

Switching between workspaces is quick and easy. You can move from one coaching business to another without your data overlapping.

An Example to Illustrate

Let’s imagine Jamie, a triathlete, and Sarah, a coach:

  • Sarah works with two coaching businesses: Endurance Elite Coaching and Powerhouse Training. She has separate workspaces for each business to manage their athletes.

  • Jamie trains with Sarah for running and another coach, Alex, for swimming. Jamie is part of Sarah’s workspace for running plans and Alex’s workspace for swimming plans.

By using Vekta’s workspaces, Sarah and Jamie can keep their coaching relationships organized and efficient—no overlapping plans or confusion!
